Deck the Hall with Craig charity event yields a sleigh-full of toys

Our first ever holiday event, Deck the Hall with Craig, was as much fun as it was a success. We raised over $200 and brought in a LOT of toys for Westborough Youth & Family Services. But it wouldn't have been possible without the generous effort of local comic book artist, Craig Rousseau. In exchange for a new toy or $10 donation, Craig did sketches for fans during a 4+ hour marathon (#writerscrampisforquitters). He effortlessly filled requests for all manner of superhero imagery - from Harley Quinn punching out Deadpool to Wall-E dancing with Groot. We were overwhelmed by the support from so many new & regular customers. Seeing so many happy faces during this exciting time of year was really fulfilling.

We commissioned Craig to do a piece especially for the occasion. It was limited to an edition of 25, each signed and numbered, and made available to customers that day. He really knocked it out of the park, with the only requirements that it use our favorite Batman characters and incorporate The Hall somehow. He contributed the Norman Rockwell approach and it suited the idea perfectly. We love it!

Rob Logan, host of the Geek Generation podcast, joined us bright & early to interview John & Jake about the life of a comic shop owner. The show'll air on Monday, December 29th. While it may not be as controversial as "The Interview", we are prepared for John's emails to Aquaman's Fan Club to get hacked. Rob even made time to speak with Craig while he finished off the last couple of sketch requests. The man is a machine! We highly recommend that you check out the Geek Generation podcast for some great pop culture insights and commentary.

Once again, thank you to artist-extraordinaire Craig Rousseau, Rob Logan, and all of you in the HoC Community. You guys keep us goin' and make everyday a true pleasure! Happy holidays and have a SUPER New Year!
