Our celebration of Batman's 75th anniversary on Wednesday, July 23rd drew a huge crowd! We were thrilled to see casual and hardcore fans alike, families with small children, and plenty of members of the press in attendance. We provided 4 Bat-tastic cosplayers - Batman himself, Batgirl, Robin, and Nightwing - who posed for photos and shared superhero advice with adolescent counterparts. Also in attendance was the incredibly skilled artist Craig Rousseau. Craig has worked on numerous comic books, including many Batman titles. He generously sketched comic characters and signed books for a long line of impressed fans. There were Bat-cupcakes and plenty of Batman back issues that we unveiled especially for the occasion. An original page of art from "Batman '66" by Craig Rousseau was awarded to a lucky raffle winner at the end of the night. Be sure to check out some additional coverage by the MetroWest Daily News.
All in all, we couldn't have been happier with the response. Thanks to all of you who attended and to everyone who helped make it a success. As mega Batman fans ourselves, it was very gratifying that we got to host the hero's 75th birthday so soon after opening the store. We're already looking forward to our next big event, but this one is gonna be a tough act to follow. Stay tuned!
